The English translation of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Secrets of the Zonai, a companion book for the 2023 follow-up to Breath of the Wild, has been delayed. Initially slated for an October 30 release, Dark Horse just announced that the Secrets of the Zonai book will now hit shelves on March 30, 2027, instead.
Dark Horse apologized for the delay via an official statement on X: “Thank you for your patience as we prepare the highest standard of quality that you have come to expect and deserve.”

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Secrets of the Zonai is a special collector’s book that dives deeper into the background mythos of TOTK, as well as the behind-the-scenes creation of the game. It contains exclusive concept art, interviews with the creators and even a “history” section that dives deep into the story of the mysterious Zonai race.
Secrets of the Zonai is available in two editions: Standard, which contains the 472-page hardcover book, and Hero’s edition, which also comes with an exclusive cover, an art print of Link and the Sages, a cloth map of Hyrule depths, and a Princess Zelda Tear replica. The book was already previously released in Japan as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Master Works all the way back in 2024, but it never got an official English release until now.

The standard edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Secrets of the Zonai sells for 59.99, and preorders are available now via Dark Horse’s website.
